Malanya Graham


Malanya Graham (1991) is a native New Yorker, visual artist and cultural worker of Jamaican descent. Malanya received their BFA - Painting, from Hunter College and has participated in several creative opportunities including the Museum Education Practicum at Studio Museum in Harlem, the Create Change Artist Fellowship and Residency at The Laundromat Project, a curatorial residency at RAW Material Company in Dakar, Senegal and the Kossak Painting Fellowship. They have exhibited artwork at galleries and venues including Carnegie Hall, Fable Jones Studios, Heath Gallery, Williamsburg Loft, and Leubsdorf Gallery. Through art-making and community engagement, they return to these questions: “How can we be present in this moment? What do we need to thrive? What does integrity and safety feel like?” Malanya owns Taurus Moon Lab, LLC., a creative production company, and they are ⅓ of Dreamseed Collective, a multimedia collective creating an oracle tarot deck which honors Black and Indigenous queer ancestors through holistic wellness practices, adornment and photography.
